The Detroit Motors besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Los Angeles first baseman Joe Higgins by beating the Knights, 4-3, at Camelot. Higgins went 2-2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Detroit reliever Chad Lobao picked up the win, while Josh Bruntlett took the loss for Los Angeles. The loss makes Los Angeles 29-48.

Detroit needed the clutch hitting of Curtis Fowlkes to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Motors on top, 4-3. For the game, Fowlkes had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

In postgame remarks, Fowlkes applauded his team's "toughness."
