Fans were treated to a whale of a game between the Boston Shamrocks and Dallas Texans.

The Boston Shamrocks clipped the Dallas Texans, 6-5, in 12 innings at Shamrock Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Boston pitcher and Centreville, Virginia, native Arturo Jones. The last-place Texans have lost 7 straight games.

Boston got a clutch hit from Frank Philpott. The designated hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"We need to get back to basics," said Dallas manager Jesus Sanchez.
