Sun Sox Win Pitchers' Duel, 2-1, Versus Thunder
The Miami Sun Sox eked out a 2-1 win versus the Tampa Bay Thunder at Sun Sox Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Ismael Villafan. He was terrific. The winning pitcher was Villafan, now 3-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. The setback makes Tampa Bay 34-36.

The Sun Sox got a big at-bat from first baseman Kris Honore. For the game, Honore was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Miami a 2-1 lead.

"Wins don't come easy," Honore told the Miami Citizen. "They don't just hand them out like lollipops."
