El Paso Diablos starter Jesse Steele turned in a top-notch performance against the Los Angeles Knights at Camelot. The result was a win for the Diablos, 2-1. The winner was El Paso reliever Steve Rossi, now 1-0. The loser was Luke Dickerson. The first-place Diablos have won 8 straight.

El Paso won the game in part because of Rob Rodriguez. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Diablos ahead, 2-1. For the game, Rodriguez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
