Soggy conditions did not keep Denver and Philadelphia from playing their scheduled game.
Denver Cutthroats starter Jim Jordan pitched well against the Philadelphia Keystones at Cutter's Cove, leading his team to a win, 5-2. Jordan, now 6-8, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs.
Denver shortstop Matt Houser contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 47th hit of the season and put the Cutthroats ahead, 4-0.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Jordan.
The Cutthroats saw their record improve to 31-32.
