|
Starting pitcher Jason Lightcap pitched well enough to help the Miami Sun Sox beat the St. Louis Lions, 6-4. Josh Hensley earned the save for Miami, his 7th of the year. The Sun Sox, at 20-27, inhabit 5th place in the South Division.
With two out in the top of the fourth, Kris Honore put Miami in front, 2-1, with a run-scoring single. The Sun Sox went on to win the ballgame.
"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Leo Cruz.
