Pilots Earn Win with Late Rally
Thanks in large part to left fielder Jim Wermter, the Atlanta Pilots clipped the St. Louis Lions, 5-4, in 10 innings. Wermter was 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Atlanta reliever Josh O'Neill was credited with the win. His record goes to 2-0. Allen Riseley took the loss for St. Louis. With the win, the Pilots sit at 23-21.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dillon Anthony in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 26-year old left-handed pitcher Allen Riseley to win the game for Atlanta. The home crowd went nuts.

"Fans understand the heart of this club is really, really strong, beating all the time," said Pilots manager Erik Swartzwelder.
