Victory Takes Diablos to 28-14
|
El Paso picked up a win at Garibaldi's Grounds, bumping off the San Francisco Peanuts, 4-3. Pitcher Kevin Mooris was a major reason the Diablos emerged victorious. Mooris, now 3-6, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. With this game in the books, El Paso is 28-14, San Francisco 24-18.
El Paso used the hitting of Austin Ottens to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Diablos on top, 4-1. For the game, Ottens had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
