Warriors Rally to Nose Past Miami
|
The Washington Warriors beat the Miami Sun Sox, 4-3, in 10 innings, in part because of third baseman Pat Daniel. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The win was credited to Ryousei Fujii in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Josh Mann took the loss. The triumph puts Washington at 26-15 for the season.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Washington trailing 3-2, Daniel jumped on a curveball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Mann and hit a 2-run home run to left. With one swing, the Warriors had a walk-off win.
"This game showed the grit and grind of our guys," said Daniel.
