Shamrocks Capture 9-6 Win at Caesers Palace Colosseum
The Boston Shamrocks withstood an impressive performance by Las Vegas shortstop Marco Llamas to defeat the Aces, 9-6, at Caesers Palace Colosseum. Llamas went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Chris Allen, who is tied for 7th in the PBC in wins with 5, was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. Boston is now 18-21, Las Vegas 24-15.

Boston used a well-timed hit by Andy Ingersoll to capture the win. The shortstop socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Shamrocks ahead, 7-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Boston skipper Dave DeJean.
