El Paso first baseman Aaron Shelby was instrumental in helping the Diablos triumph, 9-6, over the Boston Shamrocks. Shelby went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. The first-place Diablos have a one-game lead in their division.

Austin Ottens had a big run-scoring double for the Diablos in the top of the second inning. With El Paso leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Chris Phillips, who finished 5th in the PBC in innings pitched with 167.2 in 2012, and swatted a double to left. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Diablos ahead, 2-0.
