Behind a fine performance from Jim Boutin, the San Francisco Peanuts knocked off the Detroit Motors, 7-4. Boutin was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Peanuts. The 5th-place Motors have dropped 6 straight games.

With San Francisco leading 3-0 in the top of the sixth, Boutin hit a fastball from Chad Lobao for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Peanuts ahead, 7-0.
