Texans Get Extra-Inning, 7-6 Win
Fans of the Dallas Texans who packed the stands for the home opener were rewarded with a Dallas win over the visiting New York City Blues, 7-6. Adam Walsh started for the home team against John Hunter. Paul Silver earned accolades for his performance. The win belonged to Alex Garcia in relief. His record improves to 1-0. John McClinton took the loss for New York City.

The decisive blow was delivered by Willis Savala in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher John McClinton to win the game for Dallas. The home crowd went nuts.

"The crowd was raucous," said Savala.
