Miami got a first-rate effort from pitcher Jason Lightcap, who frustrated Chicago hitters en route to a 2-1 Sun Sox triumph at Sun Sox Stadium. Miami goes to 2-0 with the win.

Ken Lundy, who finished 4th in the in doubles with 24 in 2008, took Chicago hurler Justin Thill deep in the bottom of the seventh. His solo home run put the Sun Sox on top, 2-1. In all, Lundy had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
