New York City got a strong outing from Andy Colon as the Blues defeated the Boston Shamrocks, 5-2, at Shamrock Grounds. The Shamrocks drop to 7-9, as their stumbling start to the 2015 season continues.

Josh Leavens had a big run-scoring triple for the Blues in the top of the third inning. With New York City leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a slider from Chris Phillips, who finished 3rd in the PBC in innings pitched with 167.2 in 2010, and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blues ahead, 3-1.

Leavens attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
