5 times is the charm -- at least for Ashton Shelton.

The Dallas Texans shortstop tore up the St. Louis Lions to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Everything's Bigger in Texas Ballpark. The offensive onslaught from Shelton powered the 11-5 Texans win.

"Shelton was a tough out," St. Louis manager Leo Cruz said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Ashton Shelton singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Kalititi Hashil in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Makai Buckner in the 5th and doubled in the 8th.
