Gonzalez and McNary Traded Thursday, December 22nd , 2011 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Canadians announced today the acquisition of 30-year old C Bruce McNary from the Calgary Caracals in exchange for 24-year old minor league RHP Rick Burns and 22-year old minor league LHP Juan Gonzalez. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Canadians, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." McNary's career batting average stands at .204, and he has 60 home runs. |
