SPBC's Best Rookie Proclaimed Wednesday, November 2nd , 2011 It was an impressive debut for Southern California left fielder Alan Lee. For his solid performance, he has been chosen the best of the 2011 freshman class in the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit. The 29-year-old novice carved out a .316 average during the regular season, playing in 88 games and gathering 113 hits in 358 at-bats. Lee hit 6 home runs while driving in 41 runs and scoring 42 times. He also picked up 15 walks to post a .342 on-base percentage. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 18. Sam Bailey of the Green Bay Braves finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Josh Beekman of the Vancouver Bruins finished third.
