16-K Masterpiece for Drader Sunday, September 4th , 2011 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Jon Drader, the Vancouver Bruins topped the Ottawa Capitals by a score of 5-0 at Bruins Stadium. The 30-year-old Drader brought his top game to the mound, striking out 16 batters while allowing 4 hits and giving up 2 walks. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Capitals manager Justin McKelvin said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." His record this season is 6-5 in 14 starts and Drader has a 3.08 ERA. View Boxscore |
