20 Games in a Row for Lee Sunday, July 31st , 2011 With 2 hits at Empires Stadium, Alan Lee added another game to his hitting streak -- the Southern California left fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Empires, as they fell, 2-1, to the Quebec City Admirals. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Quebec City manager Bobby Dirnberger said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Alan Lee struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Lee is batting at a .335 pace this season, picking up 52 hits in 155 at-bats with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
