Winnipeg-Hamilton Announce Deal Wednesday, January 19th , 2011 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Winnipeg Buffaloes and Hamilton Tigers finalized a trade today. Winnipeg will send 28-year old C Mario Ovalle to the Tigers, while the Buffaloes will receive 28-year old LF Antonio Perez. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Buffaloes general manager Kevin Huebschman said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. |
