Cutthroats Take Title Saturday, October 10th , 2009 The Denver (R) Cutthroats pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Rookie Complex Cup in a hard-fought series with the Atlanta (R) Pilots. It was a seesaw affair, but with a 3-2 victory at PBC Rookie Development Complex, Denver (R) lay claim to the franchise's 1st championship. "There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Andre Manigault. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today." The champs finished the regular season 56-32 and claimed first place in the West Division. A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Denver (R) in the days to come. View Boxscore View Game Log |
