September's Top Hurler is Bayley Thursday, October 1st , 2009 In September, when the name of Jack Bayley appeared on the Atlanta (R) lineup card it was a virtual lock on a victory. He started 5 times and chalked up 5 wins and no losses. With those stats it was also a virtual lock that he would be named the PBC Rookie Complex League Pitcher of the Month. Bayley shackled opposing batters on 22 base hits and a .172 batting average. He rang up 56 strikeouts in 35.2 innings of work, surrendered 4 walks and fashioned a sparkling 1.01 ERA.
