20-Game Hitting Streak for Ege Friday, August 7th , 2009 Eric Ege's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Houston (R) center fielder smacked 3 hits against the Atlanta (R) Pilots in today's game at PBC Rookie Development Complex, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Mavericks drop the game, 6-3. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Eric Ege flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Walt Dobrowolski in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year, Ege is batting .399 with 15 home runs, 40 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |
