Season-Ending Injury for Oscar Arredondo Thursday, June 18th , 2009 The season is finished for Oscar Arredondo of the New York City (R) Blues. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Blues shortstop suffered a broken bone in the elbow while running the bases in a recent game against the Atlanta (R) Pilots. Team doctors said it would take at least 8 months to heal. Arredondo is swinging at a .286 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has played in 6 games. |
