The Mexico City Aztecas earned a close win over the Quebec City Admirals, thanks in part to Josh Pizzo. The Mexico City right-hander, who finished 2nd in the in wins with 11 last year, played a key role in the 11-inning, 2-1 victory. Mexico City reliever Oliver McPeak was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was T.J. Johnson. Ronnie Jacobs closed it out for his 1st save.

Matt Tomasso had a direct impact on the outcome. Tomasso contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put Mexico City up, 2-1.

"To become 'battle-tested,'" said Tomasso, "you need to compete in this kind of contest."

The Mexico City win streak is now 3 games.
