Admirals Turn Away Caracals, 6-4
|
Though he had a stellar game, Josh McKee could not prevent his team, the Calgary Caracals, from losing, 6-4, to the Quebec City Admirals. McKee went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Clint Rinehart, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The Admirals, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.
Bobby Pennington, who finished 2nd in the in stolen bases with 42 in 2006, helped out the Quebec City cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Pennington told the Quebec City News.
