Amateur Circuit Cup Sweep for St. Petersburg Thursday, October 9th , 2008 The St. Petersburg Pelicans stunned the Providence Grays by sweeping the Amateur Circuit Cup 3-0. The Pelicans dumped them 5-4 today at Providence Field in the deciding game of the series. This was the 1st time St. Petersburg has been the league champions.
