Detroit Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Monday, September 29th , 2008 The Detroit Chargers season has ultimately ended in disappointment. After staying in the hunt until the final days of the season, Detroit has now been officially eliminated from playoff qualification. "We were so close," starting pitcher Jimmy Gubbels said wistfully. The Chargers are still searching for their first playoff appearance. They haven't made the playoffs in all 4 years of their history. |
