Kayser Slams 5 Hits for Winnipeg Thursday, September 18th , 2008 Fans at Goldeyes Park got to see not only a home-team victory, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The Winnipeg Buffaloes outplayed the Allentown Fleetwings en route to a 7-4 win, but the standout was right fielder Chris Kayser. Kayser netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Fleetwings manager Craig McCain said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Chris Kayser singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Looking at his season stats, Kayser has compiled a .299 batting average and a .388 on-base percentage, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 41 runs.
