It was a good day for the Green Bay Braves and an exceptional one for Chris Tarter. The 30-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Braves beat the Sherbrooke Canadians, 8-2, at Braves Ballpark.

"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Tarter said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."

For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats.

Chris Tarter hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Mercado in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Ricardo Mercado in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Ricardo Mercado in the 7th.

In the 2008 season Tarter is hitting .316 with 19 home runs.
