Winnipeg Sends Peeden to Saskatoon Thursday, December 18th , 2008 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Buffaloes announced today the acquisition of 29-year old RHP Chris Ness from the Saskatoon Moose in exchange for 32-year old 2B Jeremy Peeden. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Buffaloes, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." In his career, Peeden has played in 380 games with a .230 batting average. Among his 306 hits are 35 doubles, 10 triples, and 7 home runs. He has also scored 167 runs, walked 210 times, tallied 31 stolen bases, and driven in 80 runs. Since he joined the league, Ness has collected 22 victories and 24 defeats with a 4.26 ERA. |
