Road Win Lifts Las Vegas to 1-0 Lead in DCS
The Las Vegas Rollers started the Division Championship Series in style, winning on the road against the Ottawa Capitals at Capitals Stadium by a score of 5-2 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Rollers right-hander Evan Rodriguez threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball.

Rodriguez was in the zone all game. He frustrated Ottawa hitters while giving the Rollers 6 innings of quality work. Rodriguez threw 95 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 9 punchouts.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Rodriguez. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Capitals Stadium in Ottawa.
