Losing Streak Continues for Braves with 3-1 Loss to Empires
The Southern California Empires and Green Bay Braves played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Southern California Empires starter Mobumasu Tsuji pitched effectively against the Green Bay Braves at Empires Stadium. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Tsuji got the win, improving to 3-5. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. Allan Tiefel locked down his 14th save.

The Empires got a big at-bat from catcher Tom Hutchinson. For the game, Hutchinson was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Southern California a 2-0 lead.
