Quebec City right fielder Alex Olvera was a significant contributor in his team's 4-2 triumph over the Southern California Empires. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Admirals. Quebec City pitcher Rhys Fox got the win, upping his record to 10-8. Allberto Menagem got the loss. Austin Richards was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
The Admirals got a lift from first baseman Manuel Rodriguez, who in the bottom of the third stroked a 1-2 slider to center for a 2-run single. It was his 65th hit of the season and put the Admirals ahead, 3-0.
Olvera told a Quebec City News reporter that he was "delighted" with the win.
Quebec City is now 45-39, while Southern California is 36-48.
