Steelheads Take Down Braves, 4-3, in 10
The Vacaville Steelheads knocked off the Green Bay Braves, 4-3, at Braves Ballpark. It took 10 innings. Ross Dowty was a prime reason Vacaville won. The second baseman went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Vacaville reliever Simon Thornley picked up the win. Marcos de la Rosa, who is tied for 7th in the SPBC in holds with 3, took the loss for Green Bay. With the win, Vacaville pushed its record to 48-36.

Vacaville used a clutch hit from Michel Penalver to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Steelheads ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Joe Sanchez to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
