Allentown parlayed a decent outing from starter Andy Taylor into a solid win over the Newark Eagles. The final score was 6-3. Allentown reliever Danny Teague picked up the win, upping his record to 7-7. Cody Reilly took the loss. Allentown is now 44-39. Newark is 45-38.

Had Juan Moctezuma not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Moctezuma hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Fleetwings.

Moctezuma told a Allentown Daily News reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.
