The Mexico City Aztecas locked up a win at Drillers Field, knocking off the Edmonton Drillers, 5-3. On the mound for Mexico City was left-hander Zeke Music. He played a major role in the triumph. Music picked up the win for Mexico City, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-6. The Aztecas now own a record of 32-46.
Tied up with the Drillers in the top of the fourth inning, the Aztecas got a boost from third baseman David Bevier. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Bevier saw a 2-2 splitter from Jacob Simpson and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Mexico City on top, 1-0.
"Zeke kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Aztecas manager Zack Englund.
