The Vacaville Steelheads licked the Vancouver Bruins, 7-4. Paul Levy deserved a big chunk of the credit. The third baseman went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Steelheads. Earning the save was Simon Thornley. He's now cashed in 20 of 23 save opportunities. The win hiked the Vacaville record to 41-35.
Levy had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 forkball from Joel Brewer, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Steelheads a 7-4 lead. It was the 22nd home run of the year for Levy.
"It feels good to get this one," Levy told the Vacaville Daily News.
