Eagles Get One-Run Win at Edmonton
Fans watched the Newark Eagles and the Edmonton Drillers fight to the finish.

Edmonton right fielder Max Berry was sensational. He was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Newark beat the Drillers, 6-5. Oscar Loza earned the win. Jared Booth, who is tied for 9th in the SPBC with a 10.0 K/9 rate, took the loss for Edmonton.

Newark used a well-timed hit by Jeremy Buck to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Eagles ahead, 6-5. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Fun game," said Buck, "even when the outcome was in doubt."

The Eagles win now puts them at 42-34.
