Las Vegas pitcher Evan Rodriguez had a large part in his team beating the Allentown Fleetwings, 8-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Las Vegas, at 43-30, is 2½ games up in the West Division.

Las Vegas used a clutch at-bat from John Horn to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rollers ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

In postgame comments to the Las Vegas Today, Rodriguez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
