Braves Take Nail-Biter Over Senators
|
The Green Bay Braves stopped the Albany Senators, 7-4, in 10 innings at Braves Ballpark. The Braves got a big game from Josh Raines, who was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. With the win, Green Bay upped its record to 36-33.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Green Bay trailing 4-3, Raines jumped on a slider from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Feldman and hit a grand slam home run to center. With one swing, the Braves had a walk-off win.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Raines.
