Oliver McPeak, who is tied for 6th in the SPBC in wins with 8, was in top form in a tight contest between Mexico City and Calgary. The Aztecas right-hander helped his team beat the Caracals, 1-0. McPeak got the win, improving to 8-1. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Ronnie Jacobs closed it out for Mexico City, earning his 5th save.

Had Tim Brenner not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Brenner hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Aztecas.

"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Brenner.

The 5th-place Caracals now sit at 27-41.
