The Ottawa Capitals beat the Allentown Fleetwings, 10-5, at Fleetwings Ballpark. The Capitals got a fine performance from designated hitter Jason Salyer, who went 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Jesse McKown in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Danny Teague took the loss. Chris Kaplan earned the save for Ottawa, his 22nd of the year.

In the top of the eighth, the Capitals grabbed the lead when Salyer hit his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Danny Teague made it 8-5, Ottawa.

"Nice win for us," said Salyer. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The Capitals have an impressive 44-22 record.
