Slumping Empires Lose 6th Straight

Vegas Stadium was host to some intense drama.
The Las Vegas Rollers dumped the Southern California Empires, 5-3, in large part due to first baseman John Horn. On the day, Horn hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Rollers. Bryan Largent notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 4-4.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Las Vegas trailing 3-2, Horn jumped on a fastball from 28-year old left-handed pitcher Andrew Daugherty and hit a 3-run home run to right. With one swing, the Rollers had a walk-off win.
"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Horn.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Rollers.
