Big Day for Villanueva: Swats 5 Hits
It was a sensational day at the plate for Edwin Villanueva as he led the charge to a nifty 12-3 win over the Fleetwings. The Albany second baseman was pure misery for the Allentown pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Villanueva put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Craig McCain, manager for the Fleetwings, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Edwin Villanueva singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Roessler in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Aloe in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Sam Kenney in the 8th.

For the season, Villanueva has hit .184 with 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. He has played in 47 games and scored 19 times.
