Conditions were not ideal but Newark and Green Bay were able to put their game in the books.
The Green Bay Braves went down to defeat to Sid Brumbley and his Newark teammates. The final score was 5-1, in favor of the Eagles. Newark has won 3 straight, while Green Bay has lost 3 in a row.
Ian Quinn had a big solo home run for the Eagles in the top of the fourth inning. With Newark leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Bell and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Eagles on top, 2-0.
"Sid just settled in and did what he does," said Newark manager Elijah Jackson.
