Senators Get One-Run Win at Vancouver
|
The Albany Senators beat the Vancouver Bruins by a score of 3-2. Albany designated hitter Chris Seidenberg deserved the lion's share of the credit. Seidenberg was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Senators. Tristan Parker came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 4 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Jim Feldman was credited with the save for Albany, his 9th of the season.
Seidenberg contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Albany in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Seidenberg took a circle change from Jorge Araujo and stroked the home run to right-center. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Senators to leap in front, 2-1.
After the game, Albany manager Luke Garwood applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The triumph puts Albany at 30-25 for the season.
