In a tight tilt between the Mexico City Aztecas and the Winnipeg Buffaloes, Oliver McPeak was the deciding factor. The Mexico City right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Luis Galdamez finished the game for Mexico City and earned his 6th save. Mexico City is now 18-22.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Aldomiro Calambum was at the plate when Mexico City scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Aztecas to go in front, 2-1.

"Watch and learn," said Calambum. "This is what good pitching looks like."
