Spirited fans greeted the Mexico City Aztecas for their clash with the Winnipeg Buffaloes.

Winnipeg third baseman Dan Griffin played a vital role in his team's 8-2 conquest of Mexico City. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Winnipeg. The second-place Buffaloes are now 22-17, the Aztecas 17-22.

Winnipeg used the hitting of Bill Kreuter to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Buffaloes on top, 2-0. For the game, Kreuter had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
